The First Day Of School

It was the first day of morning school,

Some people might say ‘MEH’.

But when I woke up on that day,

I screamed ‘OH YEAH’.

It was the first day of a new routine,

A new academic year.

I was filled with Wonder and Excitement

Certainly not with fear.

I changed into my uniform,

I was ready to go.

I ran so fast to my car,

I just couldn’t go slow.

I tripped ... and I fell,

But I didn’t start crying.

It was a new year,

So, I wasn’t going to start whining.

I got up, and I brushed it off,

It was a new day.

So, when I arrived at school,

My friends and I screamed ‘HOORAY’.
