New Beginnings

No grand parade, no sudden light,-

Just morning stepping out of night.

The air is still. The world unsure,

Feels softer than it did before.

You take a breath. The old is gone.

What weighed you down has now moved on.

A window opens, not too wide,

Just enough to let the day inside.

It doesn't ask for perfect plans,

Or maps drawn out with steady hands.

Just one small step - your pace, your way,

And faith just enough to start the day.

So let the past be what it was.

No need to fix it all because,

This moment, quiet though it seems,

Is rich with roads and restless dreams.
